Rations and nutrient specifications are commonly evaluated on a dry-matter basis while feed is physically purchased, mixed, and delivered as-fed. This calculator keeps those bases explicit and also shows the water portion of the feed.
Optional nutrient-basis conversion
If a nutrient concentration is entered on a dry-matter basis, the calculator converts it to an equivalent as-fed percentage using the entered dry-matter fraction. It can also convert an as-fed concentration back to dry-matter basis.

No. Enter a current measured or otherwise appropriate dry-matter value for the feed being evaluated.
Is dry matter the same as feed amount?
No. As-fed weight includes water. Dry matter is the portion remaining after water is excluded.
